Fanfic Writer Wednesday
@badwolfgirl01 and I were talking a week or so ago about recc’ing authors. (I had suggested she read Coru’s Ninth Doctor stories--so so good!)
But today I’m here to shout out to LadyCara and her Ninth Doctor stories. She has 3 fics on AO3 but a bunch more on Teaspoon. I’ve read her AO3 fics and plan to devour her others on TSP very soon.
I love Just a Kiss, it’s so beautifully told and her Wings of Gold series (One Step and Paso Double) is a (loose) Nine rewrite of parts of Season 2. I’m working myself up to reading the story Wings of Gold...here’s the description of that one: Their ways didn't part until doomsday happened. Divided by what some people referred to as the Void, others as Hell or The Howling, two people dreamed.
Do you blame me for working myself up?
And then there’s little gem, which I vaguely remember reading years ago when I first joined the fandom: Through the Storm. It’s been updated as recently as February of this year!!!
On Darlig Ulv Stranden, Rose Tyler had promised herself that she would have a fantastic life, and she desperately hoped that her leather-clad Doctor would do the same. Meanwhile, in the original universe, the Doctor finds a redhead in a wedding dress in his TARDIS. A Nine/Rose Doomsday AU set in the same universe as Wings of Gold, with Donna along for the ride.
