Makes perfect sense. I think something like that may have happened because the theme "shell" itself from still there, but anything modified in the options wsa gone (colors, background ext)
That’s exactly what happened to my theme, it just came back to its default settings, the ones set by the creator of the theme. When I’ll change the theme I’ll also change the meta data (don’t feel like doing it now because I really wanted to change my current theme anyway) and let’s see how it goes!

The colors are messed up on mine too.
Looks like it’s a very common bug :( I really hope Tumblr is gonna fix this very soon, sometimes I spend hours changing the colour scheme of a theme and I hate to do that all over again!
