More sneak peeks! Happy Inktober.
brainstorming stuff :)
I wish all cops were women. It wouldn't fix the problem of authoritarianism and state violence, but I just feel like...SO MUCH LESS BULLSHIT WOULD HAPPEN.
The N&N Masterpost
We're not there yet, we've still got a few months left to wait before we get the new webseries. But in the meantime I thought it'd be appropriate that we took a few minutes and went over the history of it all. Comment on how appreciative we are that Liz Vassey and Christina Cox have spent the past decade flirting on-screen for our viewing pleasure. It's appreciated. It really is.
Or maybe you've never watched any of this and scoffs at me every time I insist on reblogging the same stuff over and over again, but maybe there's this small part of you that's a little bit curious. Here's your opportunity to sate the whispering beast within.
Nikki & Nora
The unaired pilot about the two New Orleans police detectives that juggle a private and professional relationship. Two very different women, Nikki Beaumont seems to come from a world of riches and charity functions, bubbly, flirtatious and proud. Nora Delaney falling under the working class stereotype, coming from a family "lined head to toe with cops" and struggling to fuse her self-acceptance with the family's expectations.
Ladycops as featured on 3Way
Ladycop
Psychodrama
Rhonda Rapid Delivery
A running gag that is equal parts in-house reference humour about the unaired pilot as it is a spoof on lesbians on mainstream TV.
Ladycops "Brotherly Love"
An entire webisode devoted to this twice over fictional show. A massive spoof on every procedural crime show on TV and basically every line is a lesbian reference joke.
Nikki and Nora : The N&N Files [trailer]
Not sure in what way it relates back to the original pilot, but I'm plenty sure it will be as enjoyable as all the other occasions on which these actresses and filmmakers have collaborated. So bring on private investigators Nikki and Nora.
It's been a good decade. I've enjoyed it. Here's to more of the same.

Sarah Linden, on the edge.
A beautifully directed episode of The Killing this week, with stellar work from Mireille Enos that deserves not just this year's Emmy but also Julianna Margulies' from 2011. I was drawn to how Nicole Kassell and DP Gregory Middleton kept her off to the side of every frame, even in extreme close-up. Because if there is anyone more uncentered than Sarah Linden...
