however long i've been on the internet, it still never fails to shock me how easily people get away with making false accusations, even after they're proven as false. people like alex kister, chuggaaconroy, when do they get their justice? especially for chugga, why do we still allow ladyemily to have a platform?

she knowingly lied about him harassing her, lied about him "forcing his fetish onto her", and after the matter was settled privately, with him apologizing for 'making her uncomfortable' (despite her telling him prior that she was comfortable with their conversations), she decides to make it public.

and even after all of this was exposed, people still support her. why? how could you knowingly support a person who does that? why did no one care? why did no one care that she nearly made him commit suicide?

is it ignorance? is it malice? did no one think to look into the situation? into EITHER situation? how were people siding alex's accusers after reading the docs? "alex is a predator because he's a man in a dress!" for fuck's sake did no one see how blatantly transphobic the whole thing was?

it's especially egregious when in both situations, alex's and chugga's, the accusers made special mention of them being extremely uncomfortable talking to the accused... but their own screenshots show them EXPLICITLY SAYING how comfortable and heard they feel to the accused!

it is, quite frankly, ridiculous, how quickly people jump on the bandwagon without doing a modicum of research into the situation. and this is what happens. innocent people get hurt. alex nearly committed suicide and his career was nearly ruined. emile and his mom and to go to hospital from the stress and his career WAS ruined.

of course, you should always support victims. but people make shit up to hurt others. think critically before taking action.

Wrt Chuggaaconroy/LadyEmily, and hearing more of her side of the story (and Masae's), I... don't really know what to say.

Yes, Chuggaaconroy took accountability for his actions. Yes, he seems to be trying to better himself. And yes, the fact that he himself was abused and assaulted is incredibly effed up and should be acknowledged. But personally, it's hard for me to watch anymore of his work, past and present, without knowing what happened.

Then there's the way his fans dogpiled, and continue to dogpile, LadyEmily; or make her out to be a liar and the "real villian" of the situation. Not also least how most of them tend to be "anti-SJW/woke" teenage boys who believe feminism is "evil" and attack people online for percived slights against their favourite celebrities. Of course, these folks don't represent TRG, or the entire fandom; but how they still attack her and defame her, even after Chuggaaconroy literally admitted to what happened, only leaves a bitter taste in my mouth.
