An AmberEye Ferris wheel,framed by a figurehead
It is pretty and safe taking evening walks in Gdansk. Along the city street, riverside and channel fronts there is always a lot to see, nicely lit.
The AmberEye Ferris wheel is a 50 meter tall structure with 36 gondolas each with 8 seats and is well visible at night. During day and afternoon sunset, it gives a great view of the city center, the harbour and part of the coastal line outside the city.
AmberEye was built 2016, a year before my last visit there, and was relocated farther north the year after.
This photo was taken with the figurehead lady in the prow of the tourist sailing ship. Czarna Perła, the Black Pearl, is a replica of a 1700-galeon.
