My mother's favorite movie.
Michelle Pfeiffer and Rutger Hauer in Ladyhawke (1985)
Navarre and his lover, Lady Isabeau d'Anjou, are victims of a jealous curse cast by the corrupt Bishop of Aquila. Navarre is a wolf by night, Lady Isabeau, a hawk by day.
The face of love
Orion over the balcony, catching a glimpse of her beloved, the Captain of the royal guards, returning home.

Got inspired again by this >>> ask about a Ladyhawke AU and wanted to draw more fem!OP. I was suddenly reminded of the quote Philippe says when describing Isabeau, where he claims that she had "the face of love" upon seeing her for the first time. Which, the monk Imperius agrees on as he reminiscence the first time he saw/met her.
Then it got me thinking, a possible reason she was remembered for having this look is because of how in love she was with Navarre and how her face lights up whenever he goes to visit.
Which led me to drawing a golden hour scene to practice my digital art :P
I made Ladyhawke fanart in 2026
