There was a party. Trucy planned, and hosted, and never asked Phoenix. Phoenix might have spent the night at Edgeworth’s anyway. With expensive champagne. So everyone else was at the Wright and Co law offices with a lot of liquor and very little supervision.
So while Simon sent death glares at anyone who even looked at Athena, and Ema tried to avoid the attentions of more than one person, Klavier got drunk. And he started writing songs about anyone who walked by.
And then he started writing songs about Apollo. At first, about his forehead, and how it was large and shiny and it glistened like the Times Square ball drop. And then about his yell, about how it was so loud it would scare away his admirers. Then, just, about Apollo.
They turned into love songs.
He kissed Apollo at midnight. And Trucy found them by the trail of tie and jacket and vest and belt that led to the bathroom. They never quite made it to the bedroom. They were in the empty bathtub.
That one took a lot of explaining.

Unpopular Opinion: I HATE the Kougami/Akane ship. That is a toxic fucking relationship because she believes in him so much and he's just using her. On the flip side, Akane PLEASE stop believing in Kou. Like...when has that ever worked out for you???
