Last night I photographed my baby sister. Y’all this is so hard. Watching her grow up. She’s a senior. We aren’t like all sisters, I got to actually watch her grow. Thanks to the odd age gap between us. I remember the way she looked through all of the awkward phases. (She had a lot.) But I mean, look how beautiful she is now?!? Like what?!? And she has not one clue. Which breaks my heart. Not only is she that beautiful on the outside, but her heart and mind are even more beautiful. She’s still got growing to do, but it will all be so good, just in God’s timing. I can’t wait to see all she does. Like y’all, It’s like I know in every inch of my being that she will do far more than anyone I’ve ever met. She simply has no clue all she will accomplish. Of all the people I miss after this move... I will miss her the most. I think about it and there’s this pit that forms in my stomach. I get completely choked up. It’s a real pain in my heart. We’ve finally gotten closer than we’ve even been. I don’t want that to change. My greatest prayer will be that the Lord draws us closer together. This is the face of a highly satisfied young woman who is simply uber proud of herself. Thank God for all He continues to do to bless me... I just don’t even have the words to describe how amazing it feels to be doing exactly what you are CALLED to do. Even if this isn’t the full calling... {Which I know it isn’t.} This is exactly where I’m meant to be. Today (yesterday) was a reminder of just that, I had the opportunity to photograph a family I know and love, the ENTIRE time I felt like my cheeks would fall off I smiled so much, the scene was perfect. Each photo I reviewed on the spot felt like magic. {I* was taking them. Sayyy wahhhh???} Y’all, the excitement was just way too much and I HAD to edit. Session at 2pm, ended at 3pm, back home, edited non-stop (practically) until 11:15pm. Fastest I’ve ever completed a session in my life I swear. But that’s just what happens when you KNOW it’s completely worth every ounce of time put in. The best part: The “clients” (loving friends and a family I care dearly for) are loving their sneak peeks! Which makes it all worth it. I know they can’t wait to see the rest of the photos and honestly, I can’t wait to send them over!!!
