I was hacked

Sorry to everybody who got spammed with RayBan ads from this account!

Tumblr did send me a message with “suspicious behaviour” on my account, but it only occured to me today to check everything on my Desktop PC and saw a gazillion annoying ads having been messaged out to people.

Ouch, ouch, ouch, my ear!

Thanks, Crocky, for your virus. Looks like I've got an inflamed ear. Usually, when people do, they get the pain (as do I) and muffled sounds in their ears. Well. I don't. At least not the muffled part. 

So, I've had a tinnitus all my life. I didn't even find out I did until I met Crocky (in my twenties), so never really minded, I was just mildly baffled at dream scenes in movies and books in which people don't know if they're asleep or not, because you'd know, wouldn't you? There's no background noises in dreams!

I don't know where it comes from, but there is one very high beeping sound in my left ear, constantly, and a low rumbling white noise in the other. It sounds like the sound coming from a switched-on TV-set or a plugged-in mobile phone adapter, just a bit higher. These noises are present in some of my first memories, when I was three or four years old. 

I think I might have damaged my hearing when I went to the shooting range with my mother, but I can't really say. It might have been that earlier ear infections (chronic ones) that I had when I was twelve made it worse, but who knows. The noise is there, and here to stay, and so much part of my experience that I usually don't notice. 

Just: when I've got an inflamed inner ear now, they get louder, more persistent, freaking annoying. I have to turn everything up to hear things over them, and I find it hard to ignore the noise as I usually do.

On top of that, there's a gently pulsating pain in my left ear and a more constant stinging in my right.
