When Yvain promised Laudine he would do anything to earn her trust back, he wasn’t lying. He was determined to win her back, whatever the cost. So, once he settled down in Camelot, he started thinking about the ways to prove himself to his wife.
Every day he would send Laudine a gift of sorts - from small trinkets, to flowers, breakfasts in bed, anything he could think of. Every time he’d include a small note, asking his wife to meet him at sundown in the castle’s gardens. Every day he would rush to the gardens, hoping to see her there, and every day he would leave the place disappointed.
That day, he’d sent a dress sewn out of the finest fabric, light blue and decorated with small pearls he thought she might like. As always, the note was attached, and so Yvain rushed to the place mentioned in the note right after his training. One day she’d have to give in eventually, he was certain.
