contemplation: if you could wake up one morning and everything in your life was perfect, what would that look like?You know, I’m not entirely sure what that would look like. I think part of it would involve me being happier with myself overall. Also I’d have a dog. 

reflection: have you ever changed something you liked about yourself to satisfy someone else?I’ve definitely hidden/downplayed my hobbies and interests to people in order to fit in, especially when it comes to the things I draw. I’m usually afraid most people will think my involvement in fandom is weird (and then there’s the whole outing aspect of course) so I don’t willingly share my art with a lot of people I know irl which is silly since this is the internet so it’s all public and I’m sure there are more irl friends/family following me than I’m aware of but anyway ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I saw the ask about London, and I have a London related question for you! I studied there last fall (it would've been the whole year except I got sick), and I loved it so much that I'm considering applying to go to a university in London full time. So my question is: what are English schools like? Oh, and also what are the various reputations of schools in London?

ooh okay well i’ll do my best to answer this, but first i just wanna say that i’m no expert !! but okay here goes.

so i’ve never actually been to university although i am planning to go starting september this year but all my friends have been so i have a pretty good idea of what they’re like. the issue is that i can’t compare them to any other country because i’ve never really seen schools in other countries?

but anyway okay so social - first of all, english schools do not have cliques. we have friendship groups, occasionally some of these groups might decide to be bitchy and be exclusive, but most of the time people just make friends with each other. tbh i never understood the whole american clique thing because it honest to god just does not happen in the uk one bit.

there are tons of extra-curriculum stuff that you can get involved in as well - groups, organisations etc. it’s obviously different for every uni but from what i’ve seen, there’s a group for frickin everything, so no matter what your interest is, you’ll find other people who share it.

the first year is mainly a social year. your grade barely really contributes to your total degree. you just need to pass in order to make it into second year. so most people treat their first year, or “freshers” as it’s called, as a year to make friends and go WILD.

okay now, to specific schools - london is very well known for having some incredible universities. i think kings college is one of the best unis in the country? and that’s in the heart of london. but pretty much all of them have fabulous reputations.

ummm okay anymore tips?? ummm OH always stay in dorms first year if you can because it’s the best way to meet people.
