K: What’s the angstiest idea you’ve ever come up with? I’d have to go with Another Ghost in the Halls for Newt x Reader stories. (Without spoiling anything) I’d say the fact that Newt has to deal with what he caused at such a young age, and that he must wander the halls that are haunted by unforgettable memories for years is pretty angsty. Not to mention that there is no one willing to help relieve the guilt weighing his shoulders down, and he pushes away Leta, his only other friend. I felt that one was probably the heaviest story I’ve written for this blog (and I loved writing it lol).
L: What’s the weirdest AU you’ve ever come up with? Lol probably my Almost Easy series that is currently suspended 😭 I can’t wait to get back to it, but the basic premise of it places Newt as a large influence in the Underworld. He’s doing quite illegal things (murder, thieving, arson) in order to exact revenge for his a currently unspecified event in his past. The Reader has her own past to deal with and works for Newt. Reader burns evidence for him in exchange for information about a specific person she’s working for. It’s probably just the weirdest because it’s me playing with Newt’s character and motivation and trying to write him as nearly opposite as the films portray him while still maintaining his basic traits.
