the day after Francesca came out i spent a good couple hours just listening to it over and over again—it makes me absolutely feral so I have to agree that it is, in fact, the song of the summer

the way he's just FLAUNTED his range across this first few unreal unearth bops like the gospel soul of all things end to the pure rock ballad that is francesca like.... he's spoiling us! he's lavishing us!

definitely agree. I love the girl, but it wasn’t smart of her to leave for Dragonstone after she saw how bad Viserys was doing. granted, she may not have known how bad but still. I think her leaving at all was not a smart choice at all. Dragonstone may be the seat of the crown prince/princess but she should have remained in King’s Landing. It may not have deterred the Otto and the small council, but it certainly could have helped. if she’d stayed and they’d still decided to crown Aegon, they would have either had to kill her or lock her up, which would definitely not look good for them.

even from dragonstone she knew that the greens were starting to scheme for power and should have started sending out ravens (or her sons, before it was dangerous) out to visit different houses and to negotiate alliances even while her father was still alive.

i definitely believe that rhaenyra truly had the rug pulled out from under her when her father died. even after she was told that aegon was crowned in front of the masses she kept repeating “but the houses promised to serve me. they bowed to ME” like yes, 15 years ago they did. but in this world (unless you’re a stark lol) promises are easily broken and oaths are taken back during very different political climates. and rhaenyra no longer is protected by her father. so, after viserys death, rhaenyra is basically scrambling now to make alliances and build an army to defend her succession. she unfortunately does not yet have the political prowess that could have squashed the greens and small councils scheming before it could take root and now she’s paying for it sadly

Thanks for the support lol I usually try to avoid being so wanky but I kinda snapped. I literally needed like a 48-hour break from this place after reading their posts. I was/am big mad.

all of these people sending you hate are so rude like??? this season is nearly universally hated and you’re talking about how it’s just dany stans? like! no! everyone’s arcs were screwed up, they murdered one of the kindest and best characters in the season and afterwards called her a tyrant like??? she’s one of the main reasons they’re all alive!!! they did sansa and dany and arya and nearly everyone else so dirty so nah! it’s not just dany stans who hated it. it’s bad writing, babe!

They just can’t stand the fact that she’s still so loved and everyone hated this season that literally only gave like 2 characters a mediocre ending. Otherwise the whole thing was just insulting. If they took five seconds to google anything about season 8 they’d figure that but again this small minority operates collectively on one braincell so that would probably be expecting too much. Gather that with the fact that they take the time to send messages such as those to us really speaks volumes to the level of insecurity there. Daenerys wasn’t ruined because it wasn’t even remotely earned or hinted at or foreshadowed or whatever other half ass excuses they want to throw at us hence why this whole mad queen thing has been dismissed as nothing more than just bad writing and they’re mad about that.
