Whats a Bestia?
Bestia is the latin form of “animal, carnivore, wildlife.”
I have this idea from Final Fantasy, but with another attempt on it.
Bestia are special animal spirits who live in magical forests and differ from ordinary animals. Their have strong magic inside of them that they can use by will. Most Bestia have an actual consciousness, so you can talk to them like to humans. They are separated into different categories and can be tamed by summoners, usually mages or witches. For this, it is rare to have more than one Bestia as a companion in general. These Bestia are usually resting in a parrallel existence and can be summoned by the summoners magic as long as that one has enough ‘Mana’.
So shortly, spirits who appear ususally in the form or a certain animal, mythical creature or other non-human form. Only special Bestia are able to change their appearance into a human one.
The Bestia who can do this always are Glyph-Bestia. Very old, ancient spirits of the world who are known to be half-gods. They are elemental spirits who chose a animalistic form of choice. So for example, the thunder-element is known to be an ancient type of Werewolf who got lost and his wereabouts are unknown. There are 7 known elemental, holy spirits. Each of them has a main temple they are told to be residing in once in a while.
Only a limited amount of living beings are fated to see or meet them. So it is possible to meet half-gods in my world.
