yo did you do the headcanons for mass effect au yet? if not, BRING ON THE ANGST
ya know im glad u asked because i literally was about to ask if anyone wanted to talk about mass effect au, and by talk i meant suffer (◕‿◕✿) but i do have a couple of headcanons:
- clarke’s a big nerd, u know those ship models you can buy in the wards?? well you bet your ass clarke has all of them. she likes to build them, it keeps her sane.
- when lexa’s on shore leave she spends quite a bit of her time at the armax arsenal arena, she has the highest score overall. with clarke in the second rank, she still tries to beat it to this day.
- clarke and lexa both know that the mission always comes first. so throughout the first part of mass effect au they spend a lot of their time stealing glances at one another. the brushing of hands as they pass by one another, late night talks in the captain’s quarters.
- horizon. everything about horizon is whew, messy. it gets heated, a lot of feelings resurface, and wounds that never really healed are just reopened again. when lexa sees clarke again she doesn’t know what to feel. cautious because she’s spent the last two years mourning her lover, a lover she thought up until this point was dead.
- let’s talk about the mars mission (well more specifically post-mars mission); lexa’s just been attacked and she’s in critical condition, there’s a pulse but she’s barely hanging on. AND CLARKE, oh clarke my dear. she’s frantic, as if things aren’t hell enough as it is, she’s on the brink of losing it. “don’t you die on me” clarke practically sobs that out, “i need you” the tears are threatening to fall. they’ve done all they can for her but clarke knows they have to get lexa to the citadel so that she has a fighting chance of surviving. there was a lot of whispers between the normandy crew about how the commander didn’t get much rest on the whole way to the citadel.
- clarke visits lexa as much as she can in the first few days, the alliance has her spread thin but she always makes time for lexa. she doesn’t know if lexa can hear her but clarke keeps her updated on everything going on, from the war to even simply just telling her about her day. clarke does this for hours, to the point where she falls asleep; she hopes that when she wakes up lexa will be awake too
