LEE CRONIN'S THE MUMMY (2026)
Director: Lee Cronin Cinematography: Dave Garbett
can't get over how delightful Laia Costa's portrayal of Moghedien is, a villain I can only describe as "Looks like an evil Björk... and also kinda acts like an evil Björk"
like that she goes out of her way to spit in the food of people she could easily kill with the snap of her fingers just because of... some inexplicable reason. And it's so unsettling and engaging just because it is inexplicable, her motivations and personality is so opaque and unpredictable
they took what is supposedly the weakest of the forsaken and also made it the most terrifying. Easily one of my favorite antagonists in a long time
I'm nothing. Just a spider you wipe off your skirt and never think about again. Laia Costa as Moghedien // The Wheel of Time S3E6
Moghedien in The Wheel of Time 03x08
Moghedien has such a childish behavior some times and I love it (and it makes her even more scary)
--- EDIT ---
I know I forgot something : a gif when she is laughing (thanks @moghedien for reminding me this with your reblog and hashtag ^^). Oh and, just so you know, I will share more GIFs of Moghedien and Sammael's scene soon ;)
Lee Cronin's The Mummy (2026)
This is a Movie Health Community evaluation. It is intended to inform people of potential health hazards in movies and does not reflect the quality of the film itself. The information presented here has not been reviewed by any medical professionals.
Lee Cronin's The Mummy has one scene of mild to moderate flickering lights that begins when a character floats in midair, ending about 10-15 seconds after the sound fades out. One of the introductory scenes is lit exclusively by flickering oil lamps. There are scenes showing TV static and VCR tracking effects.
All of the camera work in this film is stationary or very smooth, but some mildly disorienting angles are used on occasion.
Flashing Lights: 4/10. Motion Sickness: 2/10.
TRIGGER WARNING: There is extensive body horror in this film, including open wounds, peeling skin, infections, decaying, tooth-related horror, and possessive forces causing acts of self-harm. A large amount of this horror involves children. There are multiple vomit scenes, including a forced induction.
BRANDON'S REVIEW: This film will appeal to people who enjoy The Exorcist or the modern Evil Dead films, with effective horror and impressive, albeit disgusting practical effects throughout. While the dialogue is not very strongly-written, it does not detract from the newest induction of nightmares. For my grade, it boils down to impressive production design against zero desire to ever rewatch the film. Grade: C+.
