This modified is parked at the Frying Pan Cafe on La Brea Avenue in West Los Angeles between Wilshire Boulevard and San Vicente Boulevard. The Frying Pan was a popular place for hot rodders in the early 1940s. The body appears to be a narrowed and greatly altered Ford Model T roadster body. The "knock-off" style spinner hub caps look like Cragar pieces. The shiny 21-stud V-8 has a Thickstun manifold and chrome headers and probably made this lightweight little modified really scat.
