What Are The Different Classifications Of Pizza?
Pizza is one of the benefits we Indians got after we opened our economy to foreign companies. It was around the year 1996 that 2 famous American Pizza chains - Domino’s Pizza and Pizza Hut, opened their first outlets in India. Since then our love for Pizza has only grown. Today there are Indian Pizza brands too; so many types of pizzas are made and consumed regularly.
Pizzas can be classified into different types based on many criteria. Let’s start with the simplest. People first look whether it is a vegetarian pizza or a non-vegetarian; as many people are particular about this. Based on the crust, pizza can be classified into 4 types: 1. Thin crust pizza, 2. Thick crust pizza, 3. Cheese crust pizza, and 4. Pan Pizza, which has the thickest crust. They all are available at most of the restaurant café in India.
The other types of pizzas include 1. Oven baked pizzas, which are commonly consumed in India, 2. Pan based pizzas, 3. Deep dish pizzas, the unique variety, 4. Wood fired pizzas, which are made in an oven that uses wood fuel, 5. Stuffed crust pizzas, which are truly very delicious as the crust in them is filled with cheese so you can start eating it from that side too, sitting at a lakeside coffee shop.
Pizzas are also classified according to the region/country from which they originated. In India, we get Pizza styles of 1. Italian Neopolitan, 2. Italian Lazio, 3. American, 4. Australian, 5. Brazilian, 6. Indian, even pizzas of Korea and Israel. There is also a frozen type of pizza and exotic variety of pizza available, which are a must try, especially at a lakeside bagel café.
Other categories of pizzas that are consumed are:
1. Double cheese pizza,
2. Gourmet pizza,
3. Mexican green wave pizza,
4. Margherita pizza
5. Paneer pizza.
There are many such categories of pizza and most of them are available at one of the best pizza places in Thane, Café Verve. Truly, the feeling of having a pizza at a café near lakeside, just can’t be described.
