August 11, 2017 — Another breath-taking day in The Whites. Started the morning with an incredible view and some very functional planks near Zealand Summit. Got to Zealand Falls Hut just in time to get some leftover breakfast (thru-hikers can work for or just ask for leftover breakfast at the huts in The Whites). I ended up hiking 22 miles through the clouds over the beginning of The Presidentials — Mount Webster, Mount Jackson, Mount Pierce, and Mount Franklin — to Lakes of the Clouds Hut. I got crazy trail magic and ended up scoring a bunk at the hut, which included dinner and breakfast the next day.
