was obi’s hang up in 88 literally that shirayuki was relieved that he was okay? is that what he meant by “even for me” when he was talking about her expression looking like “relief”? ...are you kidding. and then his extremely delayed “should i have said i’m back?” (i feel like this was probably “okaeri” or “okaerinasai” and “tadaima” ... which could be “welcome back” but "welcome home” would also be accurate (and considering his expression/reaction...) i’m not sure what the original japanese was, but i’m thinking the phrasing might’ve been translator discretion -- which is fine, i’m just pointing it out) but anyway. obi.
