Going back to your post about environmentalism, my parents neighbours are small time farmer. By that I mean they farm for themselves, they have chickens, a large veggie garden and they also have some live stock, which they kill themselves to eat. I was wondering on what your thoughts on that was, as they only eat what they produce themselves in regards to environmentalism and sustainable eating. Mind you they live on acreage.
The animals still will produce waste and will impact environmentally, it doesn’t have to do whether they are (small farms or factory farms). Just picture for example that each family could have their own acre to produce the meat and animal products they eat, first of all there is no enough land for that, and secondly the animals will be there still.
As I always recommend if you haven’t already, watch Cowspiracy, it’s one of the best documentaries to understand this!
