Made Lammas Day Bread

and it was an herby hot mess. Whenever I make bread, I feel like I’ve made an unforgivable transgression against breadkind, insulting the gods.

A Time to Plant, a Time to Harvest

It seems like summer just arrived and already it is on its way out. Today is Lughnasadh (Celtic) or Lammas (Germanic), the beginning of the harvest season in Western European tradition and the first day of autumn according to reckonings that count summer as starting from May. Traditionally, it’s a time for working the fields and baking the first bread of the new harvest.

And even more Lammas Day Sabbat celebration! I'm picking weeds from my neighbor's garden with their kids (I babysit), and helping them with the tomatoes from it. Later I'm going to bake some cookies too:) if anyone knows a good meditation for today, feel free to let me know! Other ways you can celebrate are (not limited to):
