so last week i taught my class about how body art is considered art and relates to pictograms because they use imagery to portray words sometimes and storytelling too. for the art activity i told them they were going to give themselves “tattoos” like polynesian tats (giving the moana trailer as an example) -- like i planned to trace their silhouettes and have them just draw samoan/hawaiian/tongan/maori/etc style tatoos on them -- but all i said was they were going to “tattoo” themself (with air quotes)

after i announced that one of the little girls was like “my parents said i can’t get tattoos :(”

omg i tried so hard not to laugh (child you’re 6 and i’m not a tattoo artist i can’t give you a tattoo) and was like no no you’re going to have a drawing of yourself you’re going to tattoo it. and she was like yay

and then we got to doing the silhouettes and when i announced it was time to tattoo she came up to me again like “my parents said i can’t get tattoos :(” like no honey i told you earlier you’re gonna just draw on the drawings we just did of you ghdsfjnsdlfn

so. i’m a teacher at the art school right. i’m done for my two hour shift before my next shift starts. so i’m chilling in the admin office, it’s literally a three-room room -- the main room has 4 desks, one for the assistant director (my boss), the graphic designer, the secretary, and then a free to use computer desk for anyone. the two other rooms is the office supply/copier room and the director’s office.

i’m sitting NEXT to, not BEHIND, one of the desks, closest to the door. on my own laptop. sitting on my lap. no one else is in here. and people have been walking in, and they see me. not behind a desk, on a tiny laptop. and they start asking questions and it’s so awkward ‘cause i don’t knoW THE ANSWERS TO THESE QUESTIONS.

and then the graphic designer came back. someone came in, and started asking me questions and the graphic designer answered. and then my boss came in. and then an older lady was looking for a package and started asking me about it??? and then my boss answered. this is awkward why did i do this i just wanted a place to sit

have my acnl avatar in his summer and winter wear in celebration of it being too hot in the summer season for my blue letterman jacket so i had to change my clothes to a happi tee!!
