hey hey ive never used ao3 and it says i need an invitation to sign up so i was wondering if u knew anything about that? also this may sound dumb but what do u mean by prompts and triggers? hope u have a nice day xx

hi love. in order to signup for the exchange you're going to need an ao3 account. use this link, follow the instructions, and they should be able to provide you with an invite to make an account in order to signup for the exchange.

by prompts we mean what you want to read about -- ships, plot, kinks, etc would all go in the prompt section (an example of this would be: zayn/harry, wake-up married). whoever you are matched up with would then have to write a fic in relation to one of the three prompts you give when you sign up.

by triggers we mean things that you DON'T want to read about because they literally trigger a bad emotional/mental/physical response for you. for example, non-con, underage, and suicide are common things that you would give trigger warnings for -- that way your prompter knows not to include those things in the fic they write you (and it would subsequently be common courtesy to give trigger warnings for those kinds of things if the fic YOU write contains any of those kinds of unsavory elements so that people can steer clear of it/know what to expect and aren't accidentally triggered).
