[Lance]: "Iris noticed how burnt out i've been with work, so she planned this picnic for us and our dogs at a nearby park. if i'm honest, i don't know when was the last time i've been out in broad day light like this. working nights with an inconsistent schedule, makes going out and enjoying the sun super hard. this, though, is so nice. i've forgotten how great it feels to be outside. how great it is to be with my dogs, with Iris. i am reminded to slow down, take a breather, and take care of myself. work is work, and it should be separate from my personal life. sitting here, with the people i love the most, helps re-center my purpose and fills my cup. this feeling may just last only this day, but i'm thankful to have it at all.
