like???? i love the thought of shiro loosening up?? letting down his walls a bit and having fun, flashing lance these slightly hazy, drunk little grins that has the poor boy REELING, its so soft and full of good spirits in a relaxed way that hes never quite seen before. ofc he loves shiro sober more dearly than anything else, but his favorite thing has always been coaxing out shiros fun side, and it turns out hes a happy drunk that Loves Fun and Loves to Love his Fun Boyfriend <333!!!
like, the team is drinking together, wanting to catch up and just have a good time, and the entire evening takes on such a pleasant atmosphere as everyone gradually realizes that their ever-vigilant leader has let himself indulge a bit and just rly live in the moment. it does everyones heart some good, bc FUCK that dude deserves a BREAK!!
and i lOVE the idea of him being more outgoing, too. bc obviously hes a highly articulate, charismatic, inspiring man, but theres so much more underneath that. there are so many little nods to his underlying sense of humor, and when the conditions are right he likes to be silly and have fun just like anyone else. and what better time than when hes nursing a warm, pleasant drunk w good friends on a clear, starry night?? we all know he and lance have the same sense of humor, and hes cracking up everyone but hes got lance roLLING and there are def tears in his eyes from laughing, too
on top of that, lance is just in PDA heaven lmao shiro is usually more reserved abt it but now everyone gets to see just how much of a softie his big beautiful buff bf is. shiros just wrapping his big arms lazily around his waste when he wanders up behind him and tells some dirty joke, or flopping his head against his shoulder w heavy affection and humming and nuzzling against his bf while lance tells some story, and he is just eating it tf up, he could handle shiros sloppy cheek kisses and meaningful little hand squeezes and awkward fumbling attempts to climb into his lap all night
everyone gets sick of their pda eventually when things start getting out of hand and tell them 2 take it to their room, and they sure fuckin do ;))))
