13 and 26?
13. What do you like most about Fire Emblem?
The characters~ Specifically the support mechanic. I love that a staple of the series is that, if people fight enough beside one another, they will Talk. Sometimes you find out they have a history together, sometimes they are two people with nothing in common who somehow find something to talk about, sometimes you get lore-- and sometimes it's just silly conversations.
It’s just great that in the middle of a strategy game, you get to watch people just chat with one another. Bonds are important!
26. Come up with a pitch for a new FE title, no matter how silly it is!
The four Great Trees of the land are in trouble. King Mulligan is obsessed with protecting his kingdom, and someone told him that a castle made from the wood from each tree would make his kingdom impossible to conquer. So whoops to whoever said that. Because these four trees control the seasons (and lots of other stuff) and now shit’s gone Nuts.
After King Mulligan cuts down the Spring tree, Queen Neeuq realizes nothing new is growing in her kingdom-- no new crops, no children, nothing. She tries to get King Mulligan to stop but he claims to just be looking out for his own kingdom. So this means war.
In the first battle, to protect the Summer tree, Queen Neeug’s son is killed by King Mulligan himself. Enraged, she commands her generals to march for Mulligan’s kingdom to destroy it while he’s away-- but she’s stopped by the spirit of the Summer tree itself.
The spirit, in the form of a young man, begs her to protect instead of attack, to protect his two remaining brothers (Autumn and Winter) and help restore the thrid (Spring). Queen Neeuq reluctantluy agrees.
Aaaand that’s all I got. Protect the trees, figure out who told King Mulligan only half the truth, kill the main baddie behind it all, no one invades anyone. The end.
[send me a number! Let’s talk Fire Emblem!]
