"To be clear, I thoroughly enjoyed my B.A. in Writing program, and I did learn a lot in the process. But it didn’t set me up to become a professional writer." PREACH. I've also got a degree in Creative Writing & it's done jack for my professional prospects in the 8 years (dear god) since. I even double majored (other degree is History); you'd think getting 2 BAs in 4 years would speak to my work ethic & info writing/handling skills, but NOPE. I loved it but can't recommend it in good conscience.
Yeeeeeaaaaaah, I enjoyed getting the degree while I was earning it, but I’m also annoyed in retrospect that there were 0 hours, 0 minutes, 0.00 seconds of career training anywhere in there. It’s a huge problem with the whole U.S. educational system, that there’s this “You MUST go to college NO MATTER WHAT” attitude instead of focusing on college as being training for a relevant career. There are a crapton of careers that don’t need college degrees, there are a crapton of degrees that do nothing for your career, and college students choosing majors don’t understand any of that.
I remember having my mind blown the first time I realized people in the Psychology department were actually willing and able to help me figure out what to do next. And that is almost certainly part of the reason I’m a Psychology professor with a Psychology Ph.D. who self-identifies as a psychologist right now, whereas that writing degree is stray a fun fact I pull out during icebreakers.
Definitely big witch vibes!
:0! Spooky me
Ahhh I missed Snargle's birthday, happy birthday!
Thank you!
People will keep telling you 31 years isn’t old but it sure is intimidating to say out loud
@shinyflareon - Ari!
DIAMOND TALONCLASP PENDANT. That is all.
Also, this was absolutely a great excuse to pull out all the stops on mixing jewelry with armor, which is one of my favorite things to do. I’ve got bits and pieces from like a million different sets (ornate pearly, pearly chemistry, river royalist, gossamer silks, amethyst flourish, silver sylvan) because I find that more fun. I didn’t include any of the seraph jewelry sets, because I think they disappear a little bit against her, but they’d be a lovely choice too.

Seagull is also a Fuel player that is super chill - I’ve been subbed to his Twitch for a while, he’s a really good player and I don’t think I’ve ever seen him get more than mildly salty. I’ve seen some people lump him in with xqc as toxic but every time I just wonder ‘are we talking about the same guy? watching the same stream?’ He’s honestly probably one of the better players overall in terms of temperment.
It’s just a pity he didn’t perform in Ilios D:
Yeah, I don’t know much about him? I should: he’s a veteran, and he’s been a big name in Overwatch for ages. Somehow I just never watched his streams or his vids... I think because he DPS mains, and not on characters I’ve been interested in getting better at.

Please tell me that this an interest check for a nest, because I NEED these babies in my life
not yet sadly D: but I’m working on making a pair for it asap (there’s currently one dragon on-site with these colors and I die)
