I’m so used to both drawing and seeing art of Fury where she has a tail that I forget she doesn’t have one canonically

I’m pretty conflicted on a potential Leafstar death. On one hand, she has been Skyclans leader for its entire modern existence. It’s boring to keep the same cat around for years and we need a change. On the other hand though, with how the blurb mentions her failing vision and how warriors has been pretty awful when it comes to disabled characters as a whole, I have very little confidence in the writers treating her with respect. Also I don’t want Hawkwing to become leader. He’ll ether be incredibly boring or incredibly frustrating.

I don’t get the argument against Dess Knight that it would be out of character because 1. We know very little about her, most of which comes from other characters recollections of her so are prone to biases and misremembering them. And 2. It’s been years since she vanished (possibly up to a decade), practically anyone would have a change in personality in that time especially if that person was trapped in the void/game code/across space and time for that time.

I’m not 100% sure how coherent this will be but no matter, I have some Deltarune speculation/prediction I wanna throw out there.

Tl:dr- I think that Carol is gonna get snowgraved (tm) in one of the future weird route chapters. Elaboration under the cut

• Obvious things first, Ch4 made it very clear that the weird route was not a one off and will be continued and built on in future chapters. We are still actively manipulating Noelle. Based of the ‘Thank You’ we get from thinking of her later on in the chapter, we potentially have her completely under our control.

• Carol is being set up as an antagonist, with the ‘YOU are always welcome’ line, as well as being the most likely person who is talking to Kris on the phone. I don’t believe she is The Knight (they stray way too far from lighter in the dark world design principles, it seems more akin to the Titan and its attacks) but Carol is most likely working ether directly or indirectly for The Knight. We’re going to be facing her at some point in the main story.

• With Rudy in the hospital and Dess MIA, Carol is the best person who could possibly break Noelle from our manipulation. If she is the person Kris is talking to on the phone, then she would be aware of our soul which is another reason why she is a threat to us. Besides, a common manipulation tactic is to separate the victim from friends and family. We’ve already hospitalised Noelle’s best friend and prevented her from bonding with Susie more. Just saying.

• We’re definitely going back to the Holiday household at some point in a future chapter to get the code from Dess’s guitar, whether there’s a dark world there or not. That’s a pretty good time to get Noelle back in the party. And for Carol to try and stop us, ether from preventing her general plans or to save her last daughter.

• Idk where to put this, but Carol doesn’t seem aware of the situation Noelle is in, based on the end of Ch4 phone call. This seems likely to change imo, ether with Kris going to her for help or just her figuring it out on her own.

This is just a hypothesis, and I don’t have any definitive evidence. But I think it’s very plausible.
