Hi! I just thought I'd let you know that seeing your tanks inspired me to switch from fake to real plants in my betta's tank. Seeing him explore his new home and weave in and out of the plants for the first time almost brought tears to my eyes. Thank you! Keep doing what you're doing!

i hope you don’t mind me publishing this, but i’ve been getting an influx of messages like these and each time they just warm my heart. i’m such a small, insignificant part of the internet, but the fact that i’ve inspired you + a handful of others makes me feel...i don’t know...less insignificant, if only marginally so.i don’t know. it just makes me feel really good that i, a super mundane girl who spends her free time posting about her fish tanks (of all things!) inspired someone. like...whoa. me? me??? no way!so thank you so much for this super sweet message! i hope that i continue to inspire you to the point that you too have more plants than you do space in your tank(s). please do post pictures of your lil’ guy in his upgraded home. i would love to see him! ♥

I talked about this idea awhile ago and I think it should be worked on now. As a writer, I find it hard to get good feedback from people and I'm sure others do as well. So my idea is a tumblr for writers, like a writers club/book club. We all can share our stories or snip its where we can all critique each other.  We can all have access to it or have one person run it and we just submit to it. Either or. 

Also, an idea that is always fun, we can all work on a single story. So we can share our own stories for all of our combined followers to read as well, but we can also create one for us all. One of those, one person works on a part and then it switches. We could all make characters in the world or all write for one character. 

So if this seems like a cool idea to any of my followers or any other writers who see this we could get to work on it. I'm going to tag a few of my writer follows and message some other people to see if they are interested. Alternatively though, if anyone has seen a tumblr idea like this, send me its info cause it sounds cool and I'd join it.

The Question Game

Questions from Charlsea (when I tag you, answer these and write 11 new ones!)

1) What period of history do you most enjoy learning about?

Well, I really like Ancient Greece a lot. But there are more and more I'm learning from being an anthro major. 

2) What is your favorite comedy film?

Oh gosh, okay. I haven't seen many but I guess Monty Python and the Holy Grail, assuming that's a comedy film. (I'm still not sure).

3) What actor do you most like and why?

 I really like Tom Hiddleston. I think he is a genuinely nice person and he is a great actor.

4) What is a movie,(or tv show, actor, musician, etc,) that everyone loves and you hate?

Family Guy. (This stems from being teased and called Meg Griffon and also because they make a lot of jokes that cross many lines and all the kids at my work just love it and don't question it.)

5) [If you want children,] do you want to raise them in the place you grew up?

HECK TO THE NO. 

6) Guilty pleasure, food-wise?

Hershey's drops. I actually have an addiction.

7) Is your closet organized?

Currently, yes, towards the the end of the semester, it won't be.

8) What are you procrastinating on at this moment?

Everything. 

9) How different is your adult life from what you always thought it would be when you were a kid?

I think I thought once I moved out and went to college I'd be free of my mother and my childhood and all the bad things but I'm slowly realizing that I have to see my family and I have to deal with them and I can't just forget about (most of) them and move on like I want to. I have to deal with my problems and forgive and love them as God loved me.

10) What is your favorite sound?

The sound of scissors cutting through paper. 

11) Would you ever ride in a hot air balloon?

Apparently I have as a kid, but I don't remember. But heck yes, this is on my bucket list.
