Artist Research into Landon Meier Masks

Landon Meier makes hyper realistic masks. He is most famous for his “Crying Baby”. The masks are, in Meier’s own words, “disturbingly realistic”. With a never-ending amount of different subjects and expressions, he calls faces “the most important subject matter in art”. The masks are “wearable art” and footage of them being worn in public has gone viral.

I find Landon Meier’s masks to be creepy but also cool. I was shocked when I first saw them as there so realistic. I find it so cool that he can make these masks look life like, it’s truly amazing and I world love to learn how he does it. His masks have inspired me in making my own mask, although mine won’t be as realistic as his are.
