decorations: how would you describe your sense of style?
“Amazing, obviously.” Kennedy snickered, despite being fully serious. “Seriously, though, it’s a mix of minimalist boho chic and like,
eggnog: who do you turn to in your time of need?
“my girl charlie! or my momma, but...” kennedy shrugged chuckling. “she’s the only other female windsor, so you know we’ve gotta stick together when these boys do all their thinking with their second heads and nothing else.”
frosty the snowman: who was your childhood hero?
“my parents! oh my god! my mom is a boss. like the woman has two tony’s and was a dope mom. i don’t know how she did it, but she’s amazing. my dad, though, he’s unreal. he’s friends with all these r&b and hip hop artists and is somehow still the most down to earth, coolest human being on the planet. they’re amazing.”
presents: do you like being spoiled?
“i mean, duh. i wasn’t not spoiled growing up, but i still had to do chores and shit, so i can appreciate being spoiled now and then.”
stockings: do you have any unusual traditions?
“not really? i mean we do the usual family dinner. kendrick lamar was at our last one, so i guess that’s kind of unusual?”
It was a rare day for the Vasquez home to be empty, especially during the holidays. So, when the boys were out for a playdate and Ana’s grandparents off to visit friends, she took full advantage and invited Landon over for a cooking lesson. Things were going great until Landon tried mixing the dough together, sending flour flying and coating just about every surface. Ana and Landon included. From her perch on the counter, Ana nearly tipped over as tears fell down her cheeks from laughing so hard. When she’d finally calmed down enough, Ana beckoned him over to where she still sat on the counter. Wrapping her legs around his hips and her arms around his neck, Ana kissed the tip of his flour-covered nose and giggled. “A for effort?” Ana tilted her head, laughter still threatening to bubble up. “And ya look real cute in your apron. That’s all that really matters.” She reassured him with a gentle tug at the front of the apron she’d insisted he wear, mostly for her own amusement. Naturally.
🎁 - exchanging gifts!
“You can’t make fun of how terribly it’s wrapped, okay? I tried!” She chuckled, handing him the haphazardly wrapped gift. “And it’s from me and the boys. They insisted on getting you something, a.k.a. they picked it out with a little guidance and I paid for it.” She laughed, watching as Landon opened the new set of paintbrushes and a paint by numbers book for a level far below Landon’s capabilities. “Had to balance it out a little with the brushes, but they insisted you needed something artsy. They’re all sports related, too. These kids have you pegged, Landon James.” Smiling, Ana bit down on her lower lip and squeezed his shoulders gently. “You know this means you’re stuck, right? They’re attached now.” She winked, though part of her knew it was true. If anything were to happen and she and Landon end things again, the boys would be crushed. Instead of dwell on the thought, Ana simply pressed a quick kiss to Landon’s cheek and let the boys have at him for a bit.
💕 - under the mistletoe!
Was it cheesy? Yes. Did Ana care? Hell no. She’d artfully slipped away from Landon and found the nearest doorway with mistletoe hanging from the top. When he finally realized he’d lost her, Ana crooked an index finger to beckon Landon over. Once he finally made his way over, Ana put on a look of faux shock. “Mistletoe?! Who knew?” It took every ounce of effort to not break and start laughing, but Ana somehow managed. With one hand pulling at the hem of Landon’s shirt, Ana wrapped her other around his neck while she pushed herself up until her lips were on his. The room could have (and probably should have) been empty and Ana wouldn’t have known either way. The world melted away when she was like this with Landon and that was how she liked it. Ana held on to Landon’s shoulders, foreheads pressed together, once they broke apart - both breathless and flushed. Grinning, Ana flashed her gaze toward the door. “Why don’t we get outta here. It’s getting a little crowded.”
☃️ - messing around in the snow!
Ana had lived in Boston her whole life, so she as used to the winter weather. Did that mean she liked it? Absolutely not. Would she still suffer through it for Landon? Absolutely she would. She’d agree to go on a walk despite it being freezing outside, so when she felt the cold sting of a snowball, Ana whipped around so fast she nearly knocked herself over. “You. Are. So. Dead!” She’d meant to sound threatening, but she couldn’t help but laugh. The smile on Landon’s face was contagious and he was just so damn charming. Ana quickly gathered a couple snowballs and launched them towards Landon - one hitting his leg and the other hitting him square in the chest. Letting out a peel of laughter, Ana took off, running as fast as she could without slipping and falling. Of course, Landon’s long strides meant he caught up with her much faster than Ana’d ever admit to and they tumbled into each other, falling into the snow. Laughing and letting out a girlish squeal every once in a while, Ana finally managed to pin Landon to the ground, knees on either side of him as s he straddled his waist. “You think you can just start a snowball fight and not suffer the consequences?” She leaned forward like she was going to kiss him - letting her mouth just barely hover over Landon’s - but instead of leaning down the rest of the way and connecting their lips, Ana grabbed a handful of snow and smashed it on top of Landon’s head, laughing the entire time.
