The cabin near the woods. Not in the woods but near the woods. The distance between any cabin and the nearest woodland determines the degree of supernatural abnormality. Although this is not a linear relationship. While being at the very centre of the woods (which can be incredibly complex to calculate) will of course trigger a fairly hefty dose of chicanery it’s on the margins where you have it the worst, it’s something to do with boundaries, malignant spirits are fond of boundaries be they literal or metaphorical. If you are within a quick sprint of the edge of the forest (from the inside) you are really in for some top level monstrous nonsense and frankly you should probably have stayed at home, you most certainly should not have invited a bunch of appalling self-absorbed idiots you happened to go to college with. It’s not going to end well. Cabins right in the centre of the woods are more enigmatic. Yes, there will be supernatural occurrences but they may not necessarily be of the daemonic type and could even be quite positive (in an unearthly manner). But as previously glossed over, the calculations to ascertain the dead centre of any forest which does not follow very precise geometric rules are really annoying to do and mythical entities are famously terrible at maths. They also lack the agricultural motivation or forestry skills to ensure the cottage always remains at the centre of aforesaid wood. This cabin is not at the centre of the woods, it’s not even on the boundary. It’s just near some woods. Also, it’s not a cabin, it’s a shed of some sort. It doesn’t even have a window, what made you think it was a cabin? 🕸⛰🌲🌲🌲👻🦇 #spring #landscape #walking #thechilterns #chilternhills #nature #blackandwhite #laneend #exploring #outdoors #rural #farm #cabin #woods (at Frieth)
