I visited the Langedrag Nature Park (Norway) the other day and it was absolutely magical
Got to spend time with lynxes - they are not domesticated, so we were only allowed to walk around in their enclosure along with a guide, and we were not allowed to touch the lynxes, but that just shows they’re allowed to stay true to their nature, which was very nice to see. Learned so much about lynxes I didn’t know and it was so interesting to observe their behavior
Also got to feed foxes and even pet an artic fox! The two grey ones in the picture were are artic foxes saved from a fur farm - their genes have been genetically manipulated, so they are very round and their fur will never be able to turn white in the winter as regular artic foxes do. The red one was found on its own in the wild when he was only a puppy, with no mother to take care of him, so he was brought to the nature park where a dog took him as her own and started to produce milk for him - he now love all dogs, bc he sees them as family
The nature park is lovely to visit in November, despite few other visitors! The snow has yet to arrive, but the ground is cold and hard and it’s perfect weather for lynxes! Do recommend if you’re ever in Norway and want to experience something incredible!
