hii!!! I'm always looking for people to talk to about linguistics or languages! Once I feel comfy with Spanish (my current focus), I'm interested in starting turkish! (though i've not gotten far with spanish yet because I'm super busy this semester) But to be transparent, I'm currently working through a hard time and have little energy and time to engage in much language learning, and it's more difficult than usual to reach out to and reply to people and sometimes takes me days. If you want to chat, even if you're just interested in learning German and your languages don't match my TLs, do reach out! Just be warned that it might take a while for my responses :)

does anyone have any tips for possible language exchange apps or methods? i’ve been on hellotalk for almost a year but my experience has gone down since then. i recently turned 18, so now most of everyone in my feed is 25+ and i’m not completely comfortable having one on one conversations with people that old. while im glad it further protects minors from predators, i wish it still showed people within my age range 😭 i haven’t found a language partner since i’ve been on there and everyone who offered at first is no longer active. im thinking of just deleting the app altogether but i really need to improve my korean speaking 😭 idk what to do at this point so any pointers would be appreciated thank you

Looking for a language partner for Spanish and/or Japanese. I haven't practiced speaking in... a long time. So, if you're a beginner or even really rusty...same. We can even just speak in English... Also if you're okay with me making mistakes, but please correct me.

It's so crazy how you can find a soulmate in a friend you’ve never met before. A guy who started out as being my language partner ended up becoming one of my bestest friends and he makes me feel so comfortable and at ease when I speak to him. It’s unreal how much we have in common, even things that are unfathomable unless you put them down to pure coincidence. Our days feel strange unless we speak to each other, but if either of us are ever busy we instinctively take pictures to share with eachother when we next speak again, because we just like to share our lives with eachother, no matter how mundane. We believe we met out of fate, because nothing else could explain how we managed to find eachother at exactly the right time, and how we were able to find someone that matched us so well. It’s just so lovely to me. It’s also amazing that we both have the same appreciation and love for eachother and our friendship, we honestly just bring the best things out in eachother without even realising it. The fact that we’re able to say and do the things that we do for eachother despite speaking two different languages just proves to me the power a bond between two people can have. Whether he’s my soulmate platonically or romantically, I know he’s going to be a part of my life for a long time and I’m thankful for that.

DEUTSCHWHATSAPPGRUPPE

Mein Deutsch is nicht so gut wie ich gerne möchte und ich will es unbedingt verbessern. Gestern war ich hochfrustiert, weil ich über einen Text über den Klimawandel berichten musste und ganz viele ärgerlichen Felher gemacht habe.

Ich versuche mit Deutschsprachigen zu reden aber es geschieht nur ab und zu und kann keinen festen Partner finden. Ich sollte mich ständig üben, um mein Deutsch zu einem höheren Niveau zu bringen. :(

Looking for language learning buddies: russian & german

Hi! I am studying russian at uni and german independently (have studied it in school previously). Now I am looking for language learning buddies in both respactive languages, mainly to chat (in writing) and maybe the occansional video call to practice.
