Man drowns while taking a selfie in Sukkur
A man fell into River Indus, Sukkur and died by drowning in his quest to take a selfie at the Lansdowne Bridge on Wednesday, 4th-January-2017.
Asif Jamil, a resident of Christian Colony went to the bridge with wife for a picnic. During his try to capture a selfie with flowing water, Asif lost control and fell into the river. Rescue services started a search operation instantly, but they couldn’t recover him due to the presence of dense fog.
The Lansdowne Bridge is man-made and connects Sukkur with Rohri. The bridge is a spectacular display of engineering with architecture to look for.
This is not the first time that selfie has caused death in the country. Previously, a boy lost his life on railway tracks while a family drowned in Kunhar River while taking a selfie.
