when Bruno woke up on his stomach, eyes blinking a few times before PROCESSING what the other had said. a brow was raised before shifting a bit. his eyes on the demon for a few more seconds before a smirk raised to his lips. putting himself on the bed, back down. he ran his hands playfully on his chest before arching his back and making the most EXADRATED moan he could muster. his rosary dangling a bit.

he woke up and chose violence.

He wasn’t the most frequent guest of the hotel, but Stolas did enjoy visiting his niece whenever he had the time (or when life at home grew rather... unpleasant). One aspect of his home life was recently much improved, though: his relationship with Octavia. It was slow going but they were spending more time together, doing what she enjoyed and learning to speak with each other again. 

The happiness of that fact bloomed in him like the largest of flowers and he took delight in regaling every hotel occupant (be they guest or staff) with pictures of his darling daughter. “You there! Cleaning demon.” Stolas called, approaching the tall (though not as tall as him) demon and stepping into their space, “Observe will you!” he cooed, flashing several pictures of he and Octavia surrounded by strange taxidermy, “My daughter and I visited Stylish Occult the other day, isn’t she most beautiful young owlet you ever did see, hmm?”

the events of the day had been a blur, almost like a walking dream that mixed and just felt unnatural to his own mind. he had gone through the day in a daze. having been tired from the previous weird dream. maybe that was way Mirabel had given him such a weird present. a red candle in a weirder candle holder that she had found somewhere in the Casita. why it was there was a mystery to the prophet, but he had been sitting in his newly made room after the events of the whole home crumbling then being rebuilt. his room had been set up differently. having an actual bedroom now instead of a small spot that just was a make shift sleep area with a hammock.

he had an actual bed now. in which he was sitting. leg bouncing. elbows resting on his knees as he stared at the candle. he was tempted to light it like a moth to a flame. but there was a pit in his stomach telling him not to. a small hmm leaving the old man before pushing his worn form off the coverage to the candle. hands idly moving as if he had done this exact thing before. a wave of familiarity washing through him as he mimicked what he had simply guessed to what he had to do. there was its own flint, steel. a way to light it and when he did the flame was even different. it flickered in the dimness of his room. his emerald eyes glinting a bit as he breathed out slowly.

“ that wasn’t so hard right? “ he muttered to himself.
