Another character of mine for the Art Fight named Lanttern or Lantt for short and goes by they/them. Info under the cut:
Lantt has to keep holding his lantern or else he will become severely weak. He can hold it with or without the stick attached to it, but the stick makes it easier carry. He has little purple things pulsate on their body which become less and faded if they're severely weakened. Lantt also fight with they lantern and can send pulsations of power through it, which can hurt anything touching the bulb part of the lantern, not including Lantt. The lantern is quite strong and won't break under normal circumstances, but if it does break, Lantt will die.
Lantt isn't mute, but they don't speak, ever. Since they aren't actually mute they still make involuntary sounds like a scream when the are badly hurt, but they will barely make a peep if they are scared.
Lantt likes other people and knows sign language. They usually like to listen more than communicating themselves. They know how to fight and defend themselves, but typically gives people the benefit of the doubt; even if that person tried to kill them... multiple times. They are also a bit socially deprived having lived alone in a secluded area for most their life.
Lantt's species: They all carry around lantern like bulbs that each glow their own color (the bulb always glows the same color as the color that pulsates on them) which they too can't let go of the bulb without being hurt and weakened. The bulbs come in different sizes and shapes for each person. They also each have different horns that typically wrap around their head instead of pointing outwards. If one dies their body doesn't rot, so usually they do cremations when one dies. Lantt's whole species was killed in a mass geocide and the few members who survived and fled latter died within a couple years of the event, except for Lantt. Lantt was born after the fact and lived on his own since he was three-ish. He latter decided to go and travel back to the town where they family once lived and died when he got older.
Since their bodies don't rot, there's still a lot laying around the outskirts of the town.
The design was inspiered by they main characters from Hollow Knight and Blue Fire, mainly the whole robe part, but I did my best to make Lantt look different from them.
