Hey for no reason at all, what does LAOFT!Toby look like? hair color eye color, build? features?

straight, thick brown hair, eyes a very distinct cobalt. very bean-pole gangly as a teenager and a bit into his 20s, in that way some testosterone-puberty-candidates do where they look squirrelly and baby faced until like 23 and then get straight up run over by the last puberty bus out of town

at which point he's over six foot and has pickaxe-swinging tree trunk arms, a beard like a brillo pad, and the smuggest wife in the county

as for other distinct features, Toby has that very distinct curved bridge roman nose, which is the only visual trait of tobeta to last all the way to roman - trudi, may, abby, and roman all have the same nose

Random thought that came to mind as I reread the LAOFT oneshots (again). Do you have an idea in mind for at what point Tobias Fischer looked at the walking entity of chaos that was Greta Baumgartener and decided/realized "yep, I need to marry *that* girl"?

probably when she stood up on a desk in Wickhills tiny rural high school and started loudly proclaiming that it was some serious steaming horseshit that the boys and girls had two different curriculums

Or it could have been when he saw her barreling down Fletcher hanging off the back of a stolen carriage that Virgil had enchanted to drive without horses, the sheriff missing his pants and half his beard hobbling after them in their wake

OR it really could have been as early as her and Virgil burning down Mr. Radaboughs barn and a light dawning in Too Nice For His Own Good Toby Fischer's eyes as he realizes, like the sun breaking over a treeline, that you do not in fact have to silently, bitterly endure the company of shitfaces just because your mom told you its impolite to call people inconsiderate slimy cads every time you see them invade the personal space of your female peers

so ive been thinking recently about toby and greta both being bi, and what that would have been like for them considering the time period, especially toby who seems like he was raised to be a Good Pure Country Boy Who Loves God and, again, considering the time period that must've been really hard for him, and even though Greta had Virgil to talk to about her queerness, it must've been so reliving when they found each other because (1/2)
