Her spear was ready upon hearing a rustling in the bushes. Rabbit for supper, if Meera was lucky, but she could feel that it was something much bigger. Jojen, Bran, and Hodor slept peacefully behind her, on the soft mossy ground. She, however, was too alert to close her eyes.
When the intruder made themselves known, Meera’s expression fell, as did her weapon. A child, a little girl, alone in the woods.
