Posting it now because I just received my copy today! It’s so cool to be apart of a zine filled with such talented artists!! Everyone did such an amazing job 💙💙💙 And of course thanks to @oceangemzine2017 for putting together such a lovely zine of my blue wife 💙

One more batch to go!

Pictured here is the Lapis guardian, guardian of the packed up Ocean Gem Zine’s awaiting their postage. The hold up experienced was a hiccup pertaining to international postage, which has since been amended, so if you live overseas, you WILL see your mailing confirmation this upcoming week! This also applies to artists, too! Thank you all infinitely!

I can’t even describe how excited I am to finally get my @oceangemzine2017 !! It is just as beautiful as I imagined if not more!! Here are just a few of my favourite pages (/w\) I’m so blessed to have been part of this project and to be featured amongst so many talented artists. What a blessing and an honour!

Huh? Wha-Lapis! What did I tell you about making water constructs in the kitchen?! Those are important boxes, ya know!

Ack! Lapis! Those Zines are not to be submerged!

Yes, Yes, I know your quite excited about them, but their not water proof...Yes, I’m going to go grab the mop, now. -__-;;

(Hah! In other words, hip hip hooray, all of the packaging supplies, and the remainder of the Zine’s, arrived yesterday! :D Shipping will commence as early as this Saturday, to be kept at a full speed ahead pace, until everyone has their copies! You’ve all been very patient, so I really hope you like how the books turned out! 

Doubly: I’ve gotten a handful of emails requesting address changes recently, so, if you’ve moved to a new residence,and need your mailing information changed, please get in touch with me sooner, rather than later, so your Zine reaches you safe & sound! )

A wild proof appears!

On Friday, my b-day, I was thrilled as could be, because the printer informed me that Ocean Gem Zine's test proof was READY, and my gosh, is it glorious! Behold, the front cover & back covers, beautifully illustrated by @katiedrawsstuff​ ! 

Plus, I thought I'd also give everyone a sneak peek of the inner covers, which feature a Lapis tile pattern provided by @kkdraws ! 

While this is the test copy, which is why there's a clip hooked to the spine, to hold the pages in place, since test pages aren't glued to the inside of the spine, everything printed beautifully! :') Once I give the word of approval, likely a little later today, the printer will then begin printing the finished, matte covered Lapis Zines. The covers will be smooth to the touch, but reinforced with a durable matte finish, while this proof doesn't have any embellishing, in case anyone was curious. Though, with the proof turning out as good as it did, I'm even more excited to see the finished books! Expect them very, very soon!

December Update + Important Zine Details!

Hello, Hello again! I promised to make an update once December rolled around, so, here it is! As of now, ALL pieces to be featured in the Zine have been collected! Hooray! What I need now is the last bit of information required to push forward into printing. Primarily, information for the artists credits pages. I sent out an email detailing the specifics last Friday, but it's paramount that any artist that hasn't answered it yet do so as /soon/ as possible! I'd hate to miscredit anyone's name or urls of importance in the finished print!

To all that have ordered a copy; Your patience means the world to me, your all rock stars! Based on my prior printing experience, the process generally takes about a week from file submission to the creation of the physical copies. So, I estimate that the Zine's should be in my hands about a week before Christmas! Once I've received them, I'll be working my keister off mailing as many as I possibly can, but, I'm not sure I'll be able to have them all sent off before the holiday season, due to the narrow window of time. So! If you intended to gift one, PLEASE send me an email, so I can prioritize such cases! :)

In summary, you've all kept me chugging along through the thick and thin of this project, and I couldn't be more giddy to see Ocean Gem come to life on crisp, printed pages! :'>
