“Pink diamonds range from flawless to included, just as white diamonds.”
I was thinking about White Diamond and why she blushed made her off color. My first guess was the fact White Diamonds aren’t actually white, they’re clear- well that’s very hard to get actually.
Apparently it’s hard to tell a “white” diamonds color grade, so White Diamond trying to be flawless may have been her avoiding shining all the colors she is. (She mentions about Yellow and Blue and Pink ect. About “needing” them and how Yellow’s hue soaks up blue, and Blue’s soaks up warmth.) There’s also been debate about if pink diamonds were a real thing, and if so how they got their color.
So Pink is pretty special, and “perfect” in real life terms for a diamond. But, White was supposed to be perfect. They were kind of mirrored gems of each other.
Though I’m not sure what to do with this information. Maybe it will help with someone’s theory on what it all meant in the show.
Pink Pearl
Probably just restating some obvious things, but hey, why not?
Today we learned that Pink was warned about White taking her Pearl for causing a scene. But also, a couple episodes ago Pearl “joked” about Steven breaking Yellow Pearl by confusing her.
And it brings up a different theory that I was well written here about how maybe Pink accidentally caused her Pearl to break. That theory has been something I thought about for a while, and then TheStarJar explained it and added some key things that I found very interesting.
We see Pink Pearl is still damaged after White free’s everyone from her power, and we saw that White didn’t have to do damage to any of the other gems she controlled. Which is significant to know that Pink Pearl’s damage wasn’t caused by being mind controlled.
It still could have been caused by White, but it’s not the only option now.
The “you hurt him,” wait “you hurt me.” Feeling is still so strong from Pink Steven. He’s not himself without him by his side- he’s not whole. Steven is the fusion of one gem’s love with life.
As Kikilazuli put together, “The life Steven got to live was the life she didn’t hesitate to give up everything for.” Pink is gone, but not her love for Steven, not her wish for him to be a human, he is amazing. She wouldn’t want to take that away.
Steven is something extraordinary, he’s not his mom. And Pink is gone, she chose to stop being, “we can’t both exist.” And maybe we saw her and Rose when his gem was removed, but he’s a part of her- but not in the way that White had thought or wanted.
I’m so thrilled that an animator I admired worked on that emotional scene where they came back together. I legit can’t stop tearing up. This show has done so much for me, and I love it. I honestly cannot wait to see where Rebecca takes us.
She’s doing the Tarzan thing I stg
