honestly lapo being interpreted by montagnani fits so much. i can't put it into words right now but the poetry fits the personality,,, do you see it?

save me with the power of your anime eyes
io forse [ʒ]oco ai [ʒ]ochi d'amore tu non sai [ʒ]ocare
all post-'65 movies on dante wish they had lapo smiling on horseback and giggling around sexy architecture. they could never come up with such visions, they don't even have anime eyes lapo at all
lapo in progress

I am The Father.
The Son.
The Holy Spirit.
I am in your dreams.
I am in your pants.
Your house.
Room.
I am in your room.
I am the shadowman
who lays next to you
and touches you in your bed at night.
I am everybody.
I am nobody. I am Photomatt's Cocksleeve
Treccani putting forward a very interesting hypothesis about Cavalcante?? I love the prospect of him somehow being tangled in literary circles, but at the same time it doesn't sound that convincing? I do believe he was a man of culture and that he encouraged Guido towards philosophical studies that way, but...
the poem in question is this
From line 103 we have Cavalcanti. I've never heard of this poem, but based off the fact that this "Cavalcanti" is mentioned with a "Lapo" makes me think he's rather talking about Guido? In which case, I love the implication that Lapo had heretical tendencies too. my circle of heretics ❤️
I need to read more about this poem but dear god guido was Not exaggerating when he said guitttone sucked as a poet
