HP 14-AC146TU: A Basic Review for Dummies
It had been more than two years since my trusted laptop, Dell-ilah finally retired. The beautiful purple Dell Inspiron has been my loyal companion since 2008. Just a few months ago this year, I have been planning to find a worthy replacement. I have considered getting a used pc since my budget is a little bit tight to be spent on a laptop. My requirements are pretty basic- I wanted a notebook that can be used for light downloads, writing, surfing and maybe a little bit of watching from time to time. My quest for a worthy laptop has been completed. I finally managed to score a brand new HP notebook for a very cheap price, packed with truly satisfying specs. I was rooting for a Lenovo ideapad originally. I went to scout for the model I have found online that best fit my budget. My heart was set on that Lenovo model, until I found this HP 14-ac146TU (sliver) in Silicon Valley. For wanna-be nerd dummies out there like me, my new PC boasts a 1.6GHz Intel Celeron processor, 500 GB hard drive, 2GB of ram (still expandable, comes with an extra slot up to 8GB), loaded with Intel HD graphics, Windows 10 operating system, optical drive, 3 USB ports, HDMI slot, ethernet port, SD card slot, and a built in webcam. Silicon Valley freebies included a bag, optical mouse and an 8GB thumbdrive. Not bad for the price of PhP14,990.00! MS Office and Antivirus are the only things that they will charge you for extra (optional, of course) as they aren't built in the price of the PC package. My current experience with this baby is definitely SUPERB. I used to be a DELL loyalist, and I tend to be a snob on othe PC brands with the exception of Macbooks out there. This is the first time I changed my laptop brand and I must say, I am more than satisfied with my notebook's performance so far. Basic downloads are fairly fast, and no lags just yet. Only, I havent been able to install a photoshop software yet, so I have no feedback on how it runs on this computer. I'm looking forward into getting my hands on a software soon; I will update this review as soon as it's up and running. Another variant of this notebook is in red (HP 14-ac136tu) loaded with the same specs. Anything else? Hmmm.. Oh yeah, the top lid is scratch-free, so no need for protective adhesive films/stickers unless you want to personalize your device's look- in my case, I'm still thinking about it.. :) So there you go.. A REVIEW FOR DUMMIES BY A DUMMY, AS TOLD BY DAPHNE. :)
