Like I'm all for body positive movement and all that great stuff but when directed at mothers people saying "A woman's body changes after pregnancy, you'll never look the way you use to!"
starts to sound an awful like "just accept the fact that you are now useless to society because you ruined your body with a baby!"
I know TONS of women who look a lot like they did before having a baby and some who look even better (I'm looking at you Kristin) just two years after having a baby. I know someone who looks almost identical to how they looked before having a baby (Lara you beautiful woman you) and her kid is three months old. Everyone's body is different and generalizing about women's bodies, even mother's bodies, is not very body positive.
If you can look at your body and say you honestly want to change it, in a healthy way, for you and no one else fucking go for it. Dye your hair, pierce your face, get tattoos, go on a diet, work out every day, eat fucking food you love. Don't let anyone tell you to just give up because your a mom now. Don't let anyone strip you of the things you want and your identity because they can only see you as a mother.
Being a mother should ADD to your life.
