30MS SIS-T00 Lirinel
I've been super busy throughout the last few weeks, but I've finally managed to finish building and photographing my latest kit! This is another rather quick build, from one of the first 30MS line kits.
Lirinel is part of a pair set with Laranel, who was my first 30MS build. She shares pretty much the exact same parts list and colour blocking, however with a white rather than black base, and using the slightly more saturated Colour B skin tone rather than Laranel's Colour A.
This was another "break" build, and thus recieved a very simple grey/black panel lining and matte topcoat without very much else in terms of build technique. Lirinel comes with the same 4 sets of hand options as Laranel, a flipped hair piece with a longer hair option done in a really nice yellow-blonde, and 3 face options (looking left, to match with Laranel's looking right, as well as an "action" face and a distressed face).
The key difference for Lirinel (apart from some changes in costume design to change where the exposed skin is) is her use of a short skirt-piece. This is actually two separate pieces - one for standing poses, and a modified one that lets her legs swing forward for sitting or jumping.
Just like Laranel, Lirinel is rabbit themed, and has a set of bunny-ears that attach to the headpiece. These are a little more involved, however, utilising a swapped out fringe and incorporating a set of headphones, whereas Laranel's simply attach to the 30MS hair acessory connection point.
While Laranel's "armour-up" form incorporates a swapped set of legs, giving her more digitigrade rabbit legs with blades on the side, and a small set of gauntlets, Lirinel swaps out the arms, providing a larger set of gauntlets with an incorporated cannon. Unfortunately this means that you can't really use any of her hand options in the armour-up form, or give her anything to hold, as unlike Siana-Amarcia's, Lirinel's gauntlets are not capable of holding weapons.
While Lirinel and Laranel are not the only two to use this specific mould as a base, these two are specifically created as a paired set. The fourth hand mould is specifically designed to let them hold hands. And they can. Uh. Do a lot more also.....
Overall, it was a lot of fun to kick back with a much simpler build to recover from some of the more involved builds I have been doing, and give me time to order in the replacement tools and supplies I need to tackle the rest of my backlog.
Now that I'm feeling a little more rested, I'm excited to get back in to some more traditional gunpla sets!
