Are You Really Drawn In and Do You Think of Me Often ||
[Takes place June 15th/16th. At the end of, after Rey’s Graduation Party]
As the party began to wind down there was one thing that was evident in her mind, but it wasn’t something she wanted to think of at that moment. Diana’s eyes fell on Cristian, and she had a brief moment where she wondered at her luck. She’d asked him to come with her to this graduation party with no expectations, but all hope. Still, she thought back over their initial conversation, the trip to Rome, the conversations since, the potential visit to Scotland if all worked out and she knew there had to be some chance. He had said yes, and that fact continued to bring a smile to her face whenever she thought of it. Although she had dedicated time to seeing friends, and introducing friends of hers to him so that he never once felt isolated throughout the evening, her favorite moments were still those where they were together and talking on their own.
However, the fact remained that they would have to leave soon, and the end of the party would mean the end of a moment in time that she wished she could freeze. With a small sigh, her eyes met his and she said, “It’s getting late... and it looks like people are heading out. I know we both have some way to go, to get home. We should probably go...” Her voice trailed off for a moment because she really would prefer not going. Knowing the schedule for the Lattice, if she was hoping to get home, she knew she would have to be at the station soon enough. Goodbyes to everyone at the party were quick enough, so that she had plenty of time to still get to the Lattice station.
As it stood, she would be losing hours with the time change alone, going back to the east coast. Even worse, she felt terrible for all the time that Cristian would be losing going back home. Her mind was still going over this very fact by the time they’d reached the Lattice, and she wondered if she were to ask him to stay in New York City, what he would think or say. Pushing that thought aside for the time being, she looked back up at him as they waited, a smile spreading over her face again as she took in the sight of him. “Thank you for coming with me. I hope that you had a good time. I know it’s a bit of a long trip for all of this, but I’m glad that you came with me.” Admitting this caused a soft blush to cover her cheeks, and she averted her eyes. Was it okay to say that? She wasn’t sure, but it was true, and she so happy that she couldn’t help it.
