I started making a nearly life-sized origami Terezi dragon cane of my own design the other day, and this is what it currently looks like. The square it's made from is 4 ft. by 4 ft. of bulletin board paper (which is stronger than you would expect), and the product is about 34 inches long. I wish I could have made it slightly larger, but I only had so much paper. The masking tape is visible on the back edge because I assembled my square from several pieces of a narrower sheet.
It can't support it's weight currently, but I intend to paint it, put in a dowel for support, and varnish it for strength.
Here's the photograph of the original small one I made from the same type of paper along with the crease pattern for the design. I feel like I'm doing the shaping more faithfully this time around.
