Singer Vasilia Michale with the folk dress of the village Verdikoúsia, in Elassóna, Greece. A thing I found interesting in the page where I found this photo is that many people took note of the Vlach influences in the dress and asked  whether  Verdikoúsia was a Vlach village or had a Vlach community. People from the region answered that actually the village did not have Vlach population, however there was a Vlach group that often passed the winter in the hills around the village and apparenly the local fashion trends of the village were influenced by their clothes. It just reminded me how historical truth is always far more nuanced than our black-or-white perception of things.
