i don't think people realise how much joy it brings fic writers when you comment on them and express your enjoyment of their work. like i get so giddy every time someone comments on my work to say they love it. it motivates me to continue posting on here (even tho i don't actually love posting on tumblr bc visibilty is HARD). we do this work for free bc we ENJOY it, but it feels so nice when we know other people enjoy it too.

so even if you're feeling shy about it, PLEASE let writers know you like their work. leave a short comment. leave a long comment. reblog. reblog and scream in the tags. ANYTHING. it means so much.
